Galco is looking for an experienced Operations Analyst to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for analysis, strategy development and deployment within multiple areas of Galco Industrial Electronics’ operations. This role will assist in identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies relating to inventory control, product development, pricing, procurement, and ERP processes.

This person will collaborate with multiple departments to assess current performance and processes while operating within the Finance and Operations teams. The Operations Analyst reports to the Director of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities


  • Ongoing evaluation and calibration of stock status and inventory levels to achieve our business goals and targets
  • Identification of loopholes in product categorization that may lead to incorrect pricing or replenishment strategy
  • Assist in development of customer and vendor return material disposition and routing protocol
  • Gain an understanding of Galco’s current systems and processes, while actively participating in development and testing of new ERP system (Prophet 21)
  • Collaborate with Marketing team on ongoing use of Competitor Monitoring software to ensure we have optimal pricing and inventory levels, enhancing our attractiveness to web clients as well as other customers
  • Work with Director of Procurement as well as Product Development and Marketing teams upon launch of new product lines to ensure we have the right inventory and pricing strategy employed to be successful
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects to improve general operational efficiencies
  • Maintain KPIs tied to operational performance. Including but not limited to; GMROII, Fill-Rate, Corporate Margins, etc.
Required Education, Experience and Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations or Information Systems preferred
  • 5+ years of Operations experience preferred, with focus on analytical responsibilities
  • Experience with ERP system development
  • Strong Team building and project management skills
  • High level analytical skills
  • Proficiency in multiple data mining platforms (MS Access, SQL Studio, etc.)
  • Advanced user of software used for working with and presenting metrics (MS Excel, etc.)
  • Build collaborative and trusting relationships
  • Effective Communication
  • Multi-departmental business acumen
