Galco is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our team. The Product Manager is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the product and technical aspects of the supplier relationship. This includes building strong supplier relationships, performing market and product evaluation and expansion, as well as recommending potential opportunities for new and existing suppliers. This role will also have supervisory responsibility for all product managers. Product managers serve as the point person for the product and technical communications for all assigned suppliers.

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the overall strategy in relation to the Galco product portfolio, aligns company goals and objectives with the supplier, utilizing effective executive level communication to influence supplier organization both vertically and horizontally to ensure mutual goals and objectives are achieved
  • Delivers strategic direction to the supplier business planning and implementation process
  • Identifies and drives new supplier opportunities with particular emphasis on the development of new services that blend unique supplier resource/capability along with the company’s service/capability to create a value proposition
  • Manage stakeholders across business functions, including sales teams, product management, and marketing, ensuring alignment on business strategy
  • Lead, coach and develop product management organization
  • Drive PM team to create a cadence of marketshare reporting and identification of growth opportunities within their suppliers
  • Work with marketing to develop the NPI strategy for Galco and cascade the strategy within the PM team to develop NPI strategies for each of their suppliers
  • Gain extensive product knowledge of assigned suppliers and markets
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers; working to add product lines & drive the partnership value
  • Research suppliers and technologies not currently included on line card for possible addition
  • Assist in the development of the supplier business plan, monitoring said plans to drive to proposed results
  • Responsible for overall margin of the supplier base. Work with suppliers on obtaining special pricing
  • Create & implement new supplier onboarding strategy
  • Review and monitor sales trends for product line reviews
  • Assist suppliers in the development of Product Training
  • Is responsible for maintaining the supplier landing page
  • Attend supplier training and seminars when needed
  • Review/Maintain/Update Product Manager Check List
  • Train Technical Support personnel with information from supplier trainings or factory visits
  • Compile meeting agenda/summary reports in conjunction with supplier visits; responsible for action item follow-up
  • Resource & collaborative partner for Marketing teams (Digital and Partnership) in determining potential promotional activity
  • Resource & collaborative partner for Asset Management team in determination for certain inventory initiatives and resolution of escalated technical issues
  • Resource & collaborative partner for Digital content team in supplier & product data initiatives and resolution of escalated supplier & product data issues
  • Resource & collaborative partner for Operational Excellence on quality issues/SCARS
  • Aware of external changes to business market as well as competitors and supplier public business
  • Offer advanced technical support to customers or internal departments as needed
  • Proactively work with the supplier to ensure they are meeting KPI’s and utilizing all available features of the program
  • Create, monitor, and report on Key Performance Metrics (KPI’s)
  • Product Detail Page optimization: Optimize, cleanup and maintain listings: Ensure each listing is searchable and clear to our customers
  • Supplier feedback management: Monitor and interact with Supplier regarding customer comments, work with Supplier on negative reviews to ensure there is a plan to improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Product forecasting
  • Provide feedback to Management including Supplier performance reviews & potential Supplier incentive programs/initiatives
Required Education, Experience and Skills


  • Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics Technology or Bachelor of Science in related field or similar experience in the electronics field
  • 5+ years of management experience
