Galco is looking for an experienced HVAC Technical Product Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for creating the business strategy for your product lines and ensure that it is consistent with and in alignment with Galco’s goals, market share and profit targets. This requires continual coordination with various functional departments of Galco, including sales, purchasing, distribution, engineering, marketing, and data content. The ideal HVAC Technical Product Manager is creative and entrepreneurial with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

 

  • Understand and leverage Galco’s unique product offerings and competitive advantage
  • Exhibited process automation experience (basic level, pressure, temperature and flow) and/or HVAC experience (valves, dampers, temp/humidity/pressure sensors). VFD drive experience would be a huge plus along with basic electronic control (relays, contactors, switches)
  • Oversee the introduction of new products and SKU selections, product launch and manage the overall product life cycle
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams on pricing, technical, and sales strategy
  • Continuously innovate in relation to our website product detail, content, videos and product offering
  • Responsible for the creation of advertising promotions, and catalogs for your product areas and in coordination with marketing
  • Maintain and cultivate contacts with key customers and vendors to facilitate Galco’s knowledge of changing conditions in the industry
  • Maximize vendor relationships to develop and coordinate technical and sales training for the sales, service, and engineering departments
  • Accountable for negotiating vendor contracts, discounts, rebates, return privileges, and terms and conditions in coordination with the purchasing department
  • Partner with the distribution team to troubleshoot and correct issues relating to packaging or labeling
  • Provide technical assistance to inside sales representatives and customer service representatives
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on AdWords campaigns
  • Passion for customer service and building relationships with our clients
  • Willingness to travel for client or product needs as necessary
Required Education, Experience and Skills

 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in product management, HVAC, sales or related industry
  • Electrical/Electronics background is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze business needs and recommend effective solutions
  • Proven track record of crafting and conveying product narratives to different audiences
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of the organization
  • Fluent in the operation of Office 365 tools & ERP Systems
  • Affiliated with trade/industry publications and networks to stay current on trends
